“Kravitz still has a knack for finding good wines at great prices” – Robert Parker, Parker on Wine, BusinessWeek, 8/20 & 27, 2007

Château/Domaine de Lancyre
2016 Le Rosé

Purchased in 1970 by the Durand and Valentin families, the Château was originally built in the 1500's, on the ruins of a 12th century fort. Records of winemaking date back to 1550! Lancyre is now viewed among the top estates of Pic Saint-Loup, which has justifiably garnered a reputation as the Languedoc’s single best wine district.

Château/Domaine de Lancyre 2016 Le Rosé

Tasting Notes:

A big rosé! Raspberry and pear aromas on the nose, with distinctive spicy, minty garrigue notes. Big, bold and firm on the palate, ending with a long, clean finish.

Serve With:

A rosé for year round drinking! Excellent on its own, it is also a great food wine – pair with hearty salads, grilled vegetables, kebabs, stuffed tomatoes or charcuterie.

Vineyards
198 acres planted to Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Carignan, Roussanne, Marsanne, and Viognier.
Clay/limestone based soils. Vines average nearly 500feet in elevation, with the highest parcels at 650 feetabove sea level. Sustainably grown.
Pic Saint-Loup is widely viewed as the Languedoc’s bestwine district. It is the most northerly of all Languedocappellations, and stylistically, the wines are closer toNorthern Rhône wines than their Southern Rhône counterparts (think Hermitage and Côte-Rôtie, notChâteauneuf-du-Pape).
