NARBONNE, France – The vast Languedoc region in southern France produces more wine than any other part of the country, and for years most of it was inexpensive and forgettable. But that’s changing as the area’s vintners step up their game, both in the winery and the vineyard. The changes have been so extensive and widespread that the Languedoc is now widely considered the most dynamic wine region in France.
Here’s the best part: Most of the region’s top wines still aren’t all that expensive. You can easily find outstanding wines for less than $25. And some very quaffable wines cost a lot less…
