50% Sauvignon-Blanc, 50% Vermentino, this charming wine is aromatic, fresh, and fragrant. La Bargemone Blanc white wine offers beautiful gold robes with green reflections, distinguished by their balance and length in the mouth. Sauvignon-Blanc gives freshness and flavours of tropical fruit and white peaches, while Vermentino, the iconic Provençal grape, shows a beautiful, lustrous golden colour, and adds a touch of flinty minerality and citrus.

Bargemone is among the foremost estates of the Coteaux d’Aix appellation of Provence. A benchmark producer of the delicious, dry rosé for which Provence is famous, the Commanderie was founded by Templar knights in the13th century, and is home to a proud viticultural tradition and more than 160 acres of sustainably grown vineyards.

Tasting Notes: This classic, unoaked white is light, crisp and refreshing, offering aromas of lemon oil, sage, and verbena, with a light mineral character and a long, clean finish.

Serve With: Enjoy this versatile wine on its own or with a wide range of simple salads, fish, or shellfish (especially sushi, freshly-shucked oysters, sole, or grilled calamari).

163 acres under vine, with 138 acres red varieties (Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, Counoise) and 25 acres white varieties (Sauvignon Blanc and Rolle (Vermentino)). Stony, clay/limestone soils.

Viticulture

Yields of 4 tons/acre. Vines average 26 years in age, except for the Rolle and Sauvignon Blanc, from new 4 to 7 year old vineyards. Harvested very early in the morning to preserve freshness of the grapes

Winemaking

After pressing musts settled into Stainless Vats then keep in cold during 3 to 5 days (at 41°F) before the fermentation starts.
Followed by 10 days fermentation at 59°F. No malolactic conversion. Vinified entirely in stainless steel tanks.
